Dancing through funeral pyres.

Nous sommes vivants, mes frères et mes sœurs
Vivants dans un monde à l’agonie!
Il ne me reste peut-être de ces nuits exaltées
Que quelques souvenirs, sentiments embrumés.
La mémoire (à peine) entr'aperçue d’une poitrine palpitante
Des cris et des larmes et puis des rires aussi.
Mais chaque matin je m’embarque à la recherche de ces lieux
Et de ces moments perdus où tout était possible.
Tout était possible, tout était permis
Et le monde, le monde était à nous !
Et quand chaque soir je ferme les yeux
Sur ma défaite je me trouve vivant,
Vivant mais perdu, perdu, dans un monde mourant.
Et j’entends les sanglots des anges déchus
Ce sont mes sœurs et mes frères tombés d’un ciel en flamme
Aux ailes arrachées et aux cœurs brisés
Les voilà gisants, vautrés à même le sol
Ce sort cruel les a condamnés
À une éternité passée à ramper.
